I bought an airplane in June 2000. It is a 180 HP Maule M5-180C, N5654D. It weighs 1384 lbs without fuel. Maximum weight allowed is 2300 lbs. Wing span is 30',10"; Length is 23 ft, 6"; height is 6 ft: 2.5". It has 4 seats plus a luggage compartment. Gas tanks hold 63 gallons, so at a cruise speed of 130 mph and fuel burn rate of 9 gals./hr, it can go about 900 miles on a tank. Realistically I wouldn't plan for more than a 700 mile leg, or less depending on the windspeed and how long I can go without using the bathroom.
