Day 14, July 10, Kansas City, MO to Madison, WI
The clouds near Kansas City were scattered to broken and I decided it
would be fun to file IFR and play in the clouds rather than get bumped
around underneath. This is called canyon flying. You
can try to dodge the clouds (as long as you stay on course well enough
to keep ATC from bothering you) or just go right through them.
Both are fun. The pictures below don't convey the motion so don't
do it justice. After a few hundred miles, I was in VFR conditions
the rest of the way.
