Day 13, July 7, Regina to Kansas City, MO (Clay CO)

Like the previous day, we spent the day dodging weather.   First flew east and then south and managed to get past the storms in Canada.   We landed in Minot, ND in good weather, and a customs official was ready to greet us.  She was very friendly and we were cleared to go to the bathroom in the US.   From Minot, we headed to Mitchell, SD, same place we stopped on the way up.  Then the plan was to go to Hastings, Nebraska.  But storms were in the way and we diverted to Beatrice, NE.  From there we headed east to Kansas City ahead of a thunderstorm to the west.  No problem!
