This source, at center, is invisible at wavelengths our eyes, and the telescope we used, can see. So we put in green an infrared image which shows then central protostar. Notice very few white (optical) stars in the field. Notice however, the very faint jet curving out from the central source. It would probably be brighter but it too is being extincted by the dark cloud. It is neat looking though. Why does it curve? Is the central star changing the direction at which is squirts out the jet, or is the jet being curved by it's environment, like the way light changes direction when it goes through different media (like air and water).
